Fantoft stave church

Originally built in Fortun around 1170, the stave church was moved to Fantoft in 1883 and rebuilt as a family chapel based on its presumed original design. After being destroyed by arson in 1992, the church was reconstructed using historical drawings and old pine timber, with only a few original elements preserved. The rebuilt Fantoft Stave Church was consecrated in 1997 and is now a popular visitor attraction and photo landmark in Bergen.
